Shalateen Company actively participates in the Egyptian Mining Forum in its fourth edition.
SMRC participated in the Egyptian Mining Forum in its fourth edition, which took place over two days, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 15 and 16, 2025. Dr. Hani Mustafa, the Chairman of SMRC, and Geologist Abdel Mageed Mohamed the vice president held several meetings with local and international investors, particularly with Komatsu, the Japanese company, which expressed significant readiness to invest with SMRC and inject large equipment and investments in Egypt, especially since the current period in the mining sector has become attractive for foreign investments after transforming the Mineral Resources Authority into a highly flexible economic entity to freely interact with all systems and keep pace with the Ministry of Petroleum's development plan.
Meetings were also held with mining service companies such as Geodrill and Al-Haitham Company, in addition to mining companies like Ibdaa and Lotus, among others. SMRC presented the progress of its work in the self-exploration project for gold and its associated minerals in the Hangaliya and Umm Ud areas, which SMRC is investing in itself with the participation of the global consulting office SRK and self-management.
SMRC also presented areas for investment in exploration under global codes, namely the Fatiri concession, El Barramiya concession, and the Atud concession, which SMRC will soon offer after obtaining approval from the Ministry of Petroleum according to the state's investment plan.
